Pretty impressive song and video by one of the favorites around these parts—Fleet Foxes.
Sounding more and more like Simon and Garfunkel (which, in hindsight, also makes their other song released from this album sound more like S&G and less like CSN&Y.) And that’s not a bad thing. Peter likes it.
And they’re back—and as gorgeous as ever. Peter really likes the lyrics to this song—expresses a lot of feelings he’s been having lately. Is Robin Pecknold the Paul Simon of our generation? Sounding a lot like Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, too . . .
I don’t feel complete unless I’ve compiled a list ranking my favorite music of the year (too many NYEs spent up late listening to the top 100 countdown on the headphones.) So, here goes:
I think it’s fairly well-documented that Fleet Foxes is well-loved in our household. Well, if they hadn’t been, this video would’ve sealed the deal. I’m one part delighted by it and one part upset I didn’t make it myself.
