Spencer Krug’s latest musical effort—Moonface—will be releasing an EP early next year. In the meantime, he’s made it available for whatever donation you feel it’s worth (including $0) as a digital flac file. I don’t exaggerate when I say it’s priceless music, but I did donate a nominal sum to his artistic cause. The marimba-soaked dreamscape of music is based on his journals of lucid dreaming. Once again, Spencers doesn’t fail to impress. Beautiful music!
An excellent song for an excellent cause. For $.99, you can own the song and feel a bit more pride in contributing to making the world a better place . . .
A short, amusing video of David Lynch discussing his near brush with directing Revenge of the Jedi.
Interesting to note: he went on to direct Dune instead, taking the reigns over from the failed production that was to be directed by Alejandro Jodorowsky in collaboration with Salvador Dali, Orson Welles, Gloria Swanson, David Carradine and Mick Jagger, with art direction by Moebius and H.R. Giger and music by Pink Floyd. Can you imagine the amazing alternate reality out there where David Lynch directed Return of the Jedi and Jodorowsky, Dali, Giger and Pink Floyd made Dune? I think it would be slightly better than this reality . . .
Captured by Ray Concepcioñ, the man with my dream job (and the cinematographic skills to earn it), the Vivian Girls are 100% endearing from the first moment. Cassie’s parents are SO cute!
Who knew No Age was so hilarious. Well, I knew. OK, I didn’t. But I knew they were insane musicians. OK, I didn’t know they were insane. Who knew? They’re not insane. I made that up. But they are hilarious. Really.
Well, they’re funny. Very funny. “Nobody put’s Johnny in a corner!”
Former castmembers from Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica and Lost. Dominic Monaghan playing a quantum physicist. Global gamechangers. Surreal mysteries. Somebody knew how to make exactly the kind of show I want to watch. And they’ve done it well. (click through for more)
